Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor has discussed the authentic challenges of entering the entertainment industry prior to the rise of social media.
In a recent YouTube interview, the actor reflected on beginning his career without the digital tools that now simplify self-promotion. "When I started, there was no Instagram and no Facebook.
I don’t think Facebook even existed then, or it was just beginning. There were no reels, and I recall YouTube wasn’t around either. So we genuinely had to endure the real struggle," he shared.
He described the process as entirely physical and personal. “We had to go to every production house ourselves, visit different places, and submit our DVDs personally. We had to tell them that we also had talent and could work.”
Taimoor, however, ended on a note of encouragement for new talent.
“But mark my words, if you have talent, it does not stay hidden. Someone will find you, even if you are sitting at home… if you are truly capable,” he said.
