Bollywood fans can finally rejoice as heartthrob Fawad Khan is set to make his highly anticipated comeback, starring opposite Vaani Kapoor in the new film Abir Gulaal.'
Directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, and produced by Indian Stories, A Richer Lens, and Aarjay Pictures, the film's production team includes Vivek B Agarawal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy.
Filming is scheduled for October and November in London. Director Bagdi, in a statement to Variety, shared that the movie "explores the journey of two individuals who unintentionally help each other heal, with love blossoming as an unexpected consequence."
Fawad Khan previously starred in Bollywood hits like Khoobsurat (2014), Kapoor & Sons (2016), and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016).
Who is Fawad Khan?
Fawad Afzal Khan is a Pakistani actor, producer, screenwriter, songwriter, and singer who is celebrated for his contributions to both film and television. Khan has earned numerous accolades, including a Filmfare Award, two Lux Style Awards, and six Hum Awards.
He launched his acting career on the television sitcom Jutt and Bond. Where he also formed the alternative rock band Entity Paradigm with his co-stars. As the band's lead singer, Khan gained recognition after appearing in the finale of Pepsi Battle of the Bands in 2002, followed by the release of their debut album Irtiqa in 2003.
After performing around 250 shows, he left the band to pursue a film career. He made his film debut with a supporting role in the social drama Khuda Kay Liye (2007), which became one of Pakistan's highest-grossing films.
