In this month of love, singer Atif Aslam advises those struggling with a breakup to embrace the experience, be grateful it happened, and move forward.
During a nearly 15-minute behind-the-scenes vlog of his upcoming Qatar concert, Atif answered fan questions on his YouTube channel. He tackled topics ranging from his favorite dessert ("A cookie!") to the inspiration behind his hit song Aadat ("It came from a place of loneliness"). When a fan from Delhi asked for breakup advice, Atif responded with a smile, "Congratulations, this is the best thing you could have done for yourself!"
Emphasizing that life is about more than just relationships, Atif encouraged fans to focus on personal growth. "Make your career, flourish in it. And then make enough money so that a relationship finds you."
Navigating Marriage
Atif also shared insights into his marriage of nearly 12 years with Sara Bharwana. When asked how he handles conflicts with his wife, he admitted, "When my wife is upset with me, I just say sorry. It's as simple as that."
He acknowledged that apologizing was not always easy for him, but he worked on overcoming his ego. "I realized that ego is something Allah does not like at all. So when you know you're wrong, don’t be stubborn!"
