Renowned actress Maya Ali has revealed that she is often taunted for being unmarried, especially after her younger brother got married.
Maya appeared on Nida Yasir’s Ramzan show with her cousins and family, where she openly shared her childhood memories and personal life.
When asked about marriage, she expressed her belief that destiny determines everything. "I believe that whatever is written in my destiny will happen," she said. She further questioned why people don’t apply the same belief to marriage, stating, "As Muslims, we believe that everything is already written for us, so why don’t people understand that marriage will happen when it’s destined?"
She revealed that people frequently taunt her for remaining unmarried. "People say, ‘Your younger brother is married, why aren’t you?’ But what can I do? It will happen when it’s meant to happen," she said.
Making her stance clear, she emphasized that she won’t marry just for the sake of it. "I will only get married when I find someone I truly like and feel a connection with," she asserted.
