Pakistani actor and television host Nadia Khan is facing criticism from several entertainment industry figures over her remarks about a scene featuring Sajal Aly in a recent drama.
While reviewing the serial, Nadia questioned the realism of a sequence in which Sajal’s character quietly asks, “Is anyone there?” while escaping danger instead of loudly calling for help. Re-enacting the scene, she said its direction and execution could have been more convincing.
Her comments divided social media. Some viewers agreed that the scene lacked logic, while Sajal Aly’s fans and several celebrities accused Nadia of unfairly criticising the actor.
After writer Saima Akram Chaudhry and actor Maya Ali responded to the remarks, veteran actor Saba Faisal also joined the debate. Commenting on Instagram, she reminded Nadia that she was speaking on a public platform and questioned why she repeatedly criticised fellow artists.
