During a candid appearance on her husband Faysal Quraishi’s podcast, Sana Faysal opened up about marrying him during a challenging phase of her life. Facing emotional turmoil after her divorce, she revealed, “At the time of my divorce, I was going through a very tough period. I married Faysal as an escape… to get out of here.”
Sana admitted she had doubts shortly after the marriage, recalling, “Just a few days later, I started thinking, ‘What have I done?’ I called my sister, and she didn’t understand either. I also spoke to my aunt and cousin about it.”
Reflecting on their simple Ramazan wedding, Sana highlighted societal judgments about celebrity marriages, particularly for divorced individuals. She noted cultural biases, especially in Punjab, where people often blame women for failed marriages, saying, “If the fault is theirs, how did it go on for 14 years?”
Sana and Faysal tied the knot in 2010 and recently celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary with an Instagram post where Faysal shared, “14 years of memories, laughter, and tears. I’m so grateful to share it all with you.”
