Halloween is a festival which is mostly celebrated in Europe and Western countries. From Trick or Treat to parties and costumes, the parties have also reached Pakistan since the last few years. We get to see many youngsters as well as celebrities who are celebrating the festival every year. From Mahira Khan to Hania Aamir, we have seen many A-listers share their costumes during different years.
Seemi Raheel and Hina Bayat are two big stars of Pakistan. They have been known for not just their acting skills but also their intellect. They always speak with intelligence and raise their voice on different issues. They have now spoken about how Halloween celebrations have become common in Pakistan too and it is at the root of it a pagan holiday.
Seemi Raheel wrote that people can party like they are in real life and they do not need to dress as monsters on Halloween. She wrote it as she shared the video of a scholar who was speaking about the pagan origins of this festival. Hina Bayat is also speaking about the celebrations. She said that there must be a difference between celebrating and participating in satanic rituals.
The internet is now divided by their statements. One person said, “You are right. People have made fun of everything and they have forgotten their limits.” Another added, “You should not criticize everything. At least just let the youngsters have a good time.” One went, “For the most part people now think of this holiday as a party and they are not familiar with its reality.”
