Pakistani actor Shahzad Nawaz has disclosed that legendary Indian actress Sharmila Tagore personally commended his performance as the antagonist "Dr Shahnawaz" in the current drama series 'Dr Bahu,' sending him a special message of appreciation.

Veteran Bollywood actor Tagore, whose career has spanned over six decades across Hindi and Bengali films, is the mother of Saif Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan.

It may be noted that praise for Nawaz’s performance in Dr Bahu has not been limited to Tagore alone. Nawaz revealed that real-life doctors had also been reaching out, finding the character of Dr Shahnawaz surprisingly relatable.

“I even received DMs from real-life lady doctors on Instagram. They told me an interesting… thing that their fathers-in-law are the same. One even said the Dr Bahu father-in-law was nothing because the language her father-in-law uses is insane and unbearable,” he said.
