Rapper Talha Anjum has publicly addressed the controversy that engulfed his November 2025 interview with television host Nadia Khan, asserting that the host likely acquired her abrasive interviewing techniques from sensationalist media figures.
This statement arrives months after an episode where Khan’s aggressive and confrontational line of questioning sparked widespread condemnation from both the entertainment industry and general audiences.
The controversy originally ignited when Anjum, during a concert in Kathmandu, Nepal, received an Indian flag from a fan and draped it over his shoulders—an act that polarized public opinion before he later appeared on Khan’s show to address the situation.
During that televised appearance, Anjum issued an “unconditional” apology, explaining that he had lost track of his actions in the heat of the moment; however, the host’s conduct during the live transmission prompted immediate and sharp backlash from viewers and his professional peers. Revisiting the incident on The Podcast with Mubashir Hashmi, Anjum clarified that he consented to the interview because a specific media channel had targeted him, and he felt a profound need to clarify his stance.
“When the interview started, the way I was spoken to—I don’t talk to anyone like that, and I don’t want anyone to talk to me that way. Sitting there, I felt like I was a politician,” Anjum stated, reflecting on the hostile dynamic.
