In a recent chat on Something Haute, Tamkenat spoke up about a big problem in TV: they're promoting actors who aren't that great. Tamkenat's a star herself, known for her roles in hit shows like Kala Doriya and Standup Girl. She didn't hold back, pointing out how this hurts the entertainment biz.
One thing she talked about was her character Hina in Standup Girl. She said Hina picked Raju over Mirza because Raju was super into her, even though he was kinda weird. But Tamkenat said if she were Hina, she might've sent Raju to jail for building a shrine to her in his room. Still, she gets why Hina liked him.
Tamkenat didn't stop there. She called out TV channels for picking actors just because they have lots of followers on social media, not because they're good at acting. She said this leads to boring shows getting more attention than good ones like Standup Girl.
