The tension between Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has hit a boiling point and this time, the drama unfolded right before the cameras. In a bold act of defiance, Tareen ripped up a PCB legal notice on video, making it clear that he refuses to back down from his criticism of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) administration.

In a fiery video message shared across social media, Ali Tareen accused the PCB of trying to muzzle him for speaking up about issues within the PSL. With the legal notice in hand, Tareen tore it to shreds, declaring, “You can’t silence me with threats or intimidation.”
The PCB’s notice reportedly warned Tareen to retract his public statements or face severe consequences including possible termination of the Multan Sultans’ franchise agreement and blacklisting. But the young franchise owner wasn’t having it. He insisted that his criticism stemmed from a place of care, not confrontation, saying the PSL “belongs to the entire nation,” not to a handful of administrators.
Despite his sharp words, Tareen emphasized that he remains open to a constructive dialogue, but claims no official communication has been made from the board to address his concerns directly.
