Makeup artist Ayesha Butt has shared disturbing stories of exploitation she faced while trying to make it in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
Appearing on a recent YouTube podcast, Butt revealed she was told to trade sexual favors for roles. She said producers told her, “We will give you work after you sleep with us,” and claimed that several of her projects were shelved or her scenes were cut after she refused such advances.

Butt specifically named photographer Munna Mushtaq, who she alleges propositioned her, and an unnamed actor from the hit drama Meray Paas Tum Ho. She recalled entering his office, where he removed his shalwar (trousers) and pressured her for physical relations, despite being married to another woman in showbiz.
After years of facing this so-called "casting couch" culture, Butt left acting behind. She shifted her focus to working in a salon and gradually built a social media presence, where she now has nearly 400,000 followers and is known for her bold online content.
