Iqrar ul Hassan, the face of fearless investigative journalism in Pakistan, has finally broken his silence on one of the most persistent accusations against his popular ARY News show Sar-e-Aam. Known for exposing corruption, scams, and social injustice, Iqrar has long been accused by critics of staging or “planting” his sting operations. But in a candid conversation on a recent podcast with his college friend Zohaib Saleem Butt, he set the record straight once and for all.
Speaking openly, Iqrar ul Hassan dismissed the rumors with conviction.
He questioned the logic behind such allegations, saying, “Do people really think a corrupt police officer or factory owner would agree to act corrupt just to help us make a TV episode? What nonsense!”
He went on to explain that the truth of Sar-e-Aam lies in the undeniable evidence it has brought forward, from rescuing kidnapped girls to exposing deep-seated corruption in various institutions. According to Iqrar, those calling the show “planted” are often the very individuals or groups who were caught red-handed in their wrongdoings.
