Pakistani actress Meera has come forward in support of her close friend Laila, shedding light on the difficult years she says the actress went through.
Meera’s comments have sparked fresh discussion online, particularly because of her remarks concerning veteran actress Resham. At the same time, Laila’s emotional conversations on Tamasha have brought renewed attention to the personal struggles she has faced and the dreams she still hopes to fulfil.
The controversy picked up after Hide Side Magazine shared Meera’s comments on Instagram. Speaking about Laila, who is currently part of the reality show Tamasha, Meera described her friend as someone who had endured years of hardship while continuing to work and move forward.
According to Meera, Laila suffered major personal and financial setbacks during one of the most difficult periods of her life. She claimed that her friend lost her home, car, family and jewellery, leaving her to deal with an overwhelming series of losses.
Meera further alleged that when Laila was living independently as a single woman, Resham would mock her and attempt to put her down. These remarks have added another dimension to the ongoing conversation, although the claims made by Meera have not been independently verified.
