This week, the singer posted a childhood picture of himself and captioned it: “Can u imagine this boy will be completing 12 years in the industry tomorrow?” The post also included snippets from his musical journey.
Fans can clearly see how Asim has transformed over the years. He began his career in 2013 by covering Western songs like A-Team by Ed Sheeran and Whistle by Flo Rida on YouTube.
He earned his breakthrough in 2015 on Coke Studio season eight with Hina Ki Khushbu alongside Samra Khan and continued to shine in seasons nine and 11 with Tera Woh Pyar and Mahi Aaja alongside Momina Mustehsan.
Asim became one of the first four Pakistani singers to cross 100 million views on his Coke Studio songs, joining Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and Momina Mustehsan.
He also sang Pakistan Super League anthems Sab Sitaray Hamaray with Shae Gill and Faris Shafi, and Tayyar Hain with Ali Azmat, Haroon, and Ali Lohar in 2022 and 2023. A Karachi Kings fan, he endorsed the team and sang Yeh Hai Karachi with Talha Yunus in 2022.
