Hamza Malik and Zain Zohaib’s ‘Alfaaz’ is a smash hit in a way we’re having trouble describing with words — so, we’ll use numbers instead.
The song reached another milestone on Monday, as Genius — a website which lays claim to being the world’s largest collection of song lyrics — announced ‘Alfaaz’ had topped its weekly charts.
The song has had a steady performance on the Genius weekly chart, first appearing at number six on October 5, then spending two weeks in fifth place. This week’s chart saw the song climb two places from number three to the top spot.
Other songs on the list included ‘Housewife’ by Tate McRae, ‘Creep’ by Radiohead and Eminem’s 14-year-old rap classic ‘Lose Yourself ’, which placed third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
Genius is not the only place ‘Alfaaz’ is topping charts; the song remained the most popular song in Pakistan and India on Tuesday, a position it also held last week.
