Pakistani actress Sabeena Farooq has addressed rumours regarding her appearance, stating clearly that she has not had lip fillers and revealing that her fear of needles and injections kept her from the treatment.
In an Instagram Story, the actor responded to messages from followers who speculated she had undergone the cosmetic procedure. While denying the claims, Farooq stressed that she does not view cosmetic enhancements negatively and feels individuals should have the freedom to make their own decisions.
“I’ve been getting a lot of messages from people saying I got lip fillers, which first isn’t a bad thing, but I didn’t because I’m scared of needles and injections. Otherwise, I would’ve considered doing it, regardless of doing too much. But yeah, we shouldn’t question what people do, right?” she said, as per remarks shared from her story.
Farooq’s reply addressed speculation about herself and pushed back against scrutinising other people’s looks. Even as she denied getting lip fillers, the actor made it clear she has no problem with those who opt for cosmetic procedures.
Her comments also raised a wider discussion about beauty standards and the scrutiny public figures face. Celebrities often become the focus of online rumours about cosmetic work, with any change in how they look leading to assumptions about whether they have had procedures.
By acknowledging cosmetic enhancements are a personal choice, Farooq asked why such decisions should become public judgment.
