Mariyam Nafees' Stand for Lahore Girls' Act of Thrashing a Salesman
Pakistani actor Mariyam Nafees took to social media to defend the actions of the girls involved in the incident. In a video statement posted on her Instagram stories, she explained that the girls resorted to physical confrontation as a last resort after the salesman allegedly made inappropriate comments about their bodies and character. Nafees emphasized that one of the girls was a personal friend, and none of them had any influential background to manipulate the situation.
According to Mariyam, the salesman began hurling abuses and using "filthy words" after the girls rebuked him for his comments. She asserted that the girls faced harassment due to their western attire and being out late at night, which fueled the unfortunate altercation.
