Mikaal Zulfiqar Receives Marriage Proposal

During a local interview, a fan boldly called Mikaal Zulfiqar and confessed her feelings, leaving the actor momentarily stunned. “I am a die-hard fan of his. I want to marry him. Please, tell me a solution to this. What must I do to accomplish this?” she asked.

Mikaal, taken aback, laughed before responding to the unexpected proposal. “Look, we can’t discuss these things over the phone. If we ever meet and sit down together, then we’ll see what to do about this,” he joked. “But I’m flattered!”

As the interview continued, another caller inquired about Mikaal’s past closeness with model Zara Sheikh. Acknowledging their history, he admitted, “There was a time early on in my career when I was very close to Zara.”

Reflecting on their past, Mikaal recalled being captivated by Zara during his early 20s. “I had grown up in England, so I was exposed to a different environment. And Zara was very Eastern, which wasn’t a bad thing, just new to me. So, I was very infatuated by her. There’s no doubt.”

He shared that they had collaborated on a few modeling projects. “Unfortunately, Zara didn’t pursue her career all that much. There was a lot she could’ve been. She had a fantastic voice and was a brilliant singer, like the proper classical type. In fact, music was her strength.”

Despite encouraging her to focus on music, neither of them pursued it seriously. “She was also a very good actor,” he added. “But you know, I wish her the best. It was a different time.”

Previously married to model Sara Bhatti, Mikaal divorced in 2017. Last year, in an interview with Wasi Shah, he expressed his reluctance to remarry despite his family’s encouragement.

“My father suggested I could find a foreign woman for marriage while visiting the United States,” Mikaal shared with a laugh. However, he emphasized his contentment with his life and children. “I don’t really think about marriage now. I have kids, I am at peace.”

Waseem Abbas says he respects his children’s choice to live independently

Veteran actor Waseem Abbas has said he respects his children’s decision to live separately and believes elders should also understand the privacy of younger family members.

In a recent interview, Abbas said his married children do not live with him, and he considers that completely normal. Speaking about his son Ali Abbas and daughter-in-law, he shared that when he visits Karachi, he often stays at a guest house instead of their home.

The actor clarified that this is not because his son or daughter-in-law do not want him there, but because he does not want to disturb their routine. He said his work often ends late at night, and he does not want his daughter-in-law to wait up for him or feel responsible for taking care of him.

Abbas said younger families have their own responsibilities, including children, school routines and daily commitments, and elders should be thoughtful about that.

He also praised his son Ali Abbas, calling him extremely well-mannered and respectful. Reflecting on his past marriage with actor Saba Hameed, Abbas said their marriage did not work out, but they still respect each other and would have no issue working together.
