TV host Syed Muzammil Shah sparked controversy by openly criticizing Mahira Khan’s acting experience during his recent appearance on Zabardast, a program on New TV.
While discussing topics ranging from politics to showbiz, Shah ranked Mahira Khan fourth in acting experience behind Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, and Mehwish Hayat. He claimed he does not closely follow Mahira’s work but disagrees with public perceptions of her acting skills, saying, "I don’t think Mahira Khan is very experienced in acting."
Citing her performance in The Legend of Maula Jatt, Shah added, "I did not understand her acting," while praising Hamza Ali Abbasi’s portrayal in the same film. He also predicted memes would emerge from his remarks, which have already sparked criticism online, with social media users questioning his qualifications to assess acting talent.
