The buzz around Pakistan’s first reality dating show Lazawal Ishq just got louder, and not in a good way. Actress and TV personality Mishi Khan has openly voiced her disapproval of both the show and its host, Ayesha Omar, sparking another round of debate on social media.
Hosted by Ayesha Omar, Lazawal Ishq will feature eight contestants, four men and four women, living together in a luxury villa as they search for “true love.” The format, inspired by Western dating competitions, has already received intense criticism online, and Mishi Khan’s comments have added fuel to the fire.

Taking to Instagram, Mishi Khan questioned why such a concept was introduced in the first place, calling it a “copycat attempt” of Western culture. She specifically called out Ayesha Omar for accepting the role of host, remarking on her choice of wardrobe and questioning whether such projects were appropriate for someone at her stage of career.
Mishi went on to sarcastically remark that no one could have been a “better fit” for the show than Ayesha Omar, before bluntly adding that the actress should feel ashamed for taking part in what she sees as a publicity stunt. While acknowledging her past admiration for Ayesha, Mishi stressed that chasing relevance through controversial projects isn’t the right path.
