As the long-time host of ARY Digital’s popular morning show Good Morning Pakistan, she has built a reputation for speaking openly about both her professional achievements and personal experiences.
Recently, Nida once again gave viewers a glimpse into her private life, revealing what she believes played a crucial role in preserving her marriage to actor, director, and producer Yasir Nawaz. The couple, who have been married for more than two decades and are parents to three children, have often spoken about the ups and downs they faced during the early years of their relationship.
During a recent episode of Good Morning Pakistan, Nida reflected on how youthful emotions and a lack of maturity can sometimes make ordinary marital disagreements seem much bigger than they really are. Using her own life as an example, she admitted that whenever she encountered difficulties in her marriage, her first instinct was to run to her mother and pour her heart out.
Nida described herself as someone who reacted emotionally and impulsively in those moments. She would often cry and share every detail of her frustrations, expecting sympathy and support. However, her mother handled the situation in a way that, according to Nida, ultimately helped protect her marriage.
Rather than immediately taking sides or developing resentment toward her son-in-law, Nida’s mother would patiently listen without passing judgment. She understood that heated emotions often cloud perspective and that temporary disagreements between spouses do not always reflect the reality of a relationship.
Recalling those days, Nida explained that her mother never allowed herself to be influenced by the complaints she heard. She recognized that arguments come and go, and that couples frequently reconcile after a disagreement. While many parents may begin viewing their child’s spouse negatively after hearing repeated grievances, Nida’s mother chose to remain neutral and wise.
