Ali Zafar has shared his rendition of the hit Bollywood track Saiyaara. The versatile artist posted the cover on Instagram, where it quickly caught the attention of admirers as well as critics.

Zafar explained what compelled him to recreate the emotional ballad.

According to the singer, it was an unexpected encounter with an AI-generated version of the song, performed in the voice of his all-time favourite singer, Kishore Kumar, that inspired him.

“Not many new songs move me… but when I heard an AI version of this in the voice of my all-time favorite Kishore Kumar, it stuck. Had to get it out of my system. Here’s my rendition of the song of the season — Saiyaara,” Zafar wrote.

Ali Zafar’s recreation adds his signature soulful touch, making the rendition both nostalgic and refreshing.

Some fans hailed the effort, praising the singer’s ability to breathe new life into an already popular track.

One fan commented, “Your voice is pure magic. This felt even more powerful than the original.” Another added, “Ali, you never fail to connect with the soul of the song. Goosebumps all the way.”

Others appreciated the timing, with a follower joking, “We got Ali Zafar covering Saiyaara before GTA 6.”

However, not everyone was impressed. A critic sarcastically remarked, “Bari mushkil se jaan chhuti thi is song se bhai. Don’t ruin this song again. Thanks k bye.”

Ali Zafar has long established himself as one of Pakistan’s most versatile entertainers, not just as a singer, but also as a songwriter, composer, and actor.

With hits like Channo, Jhoom, Rockstar, and Laila O Laila, his career reflects a constant drive for innovation and reinvention.

Whether through Coke Studio collaborations or independent releases, Zafar continues to experiment with sound while staying true to his artistic identity.

Previously, Zafar posted his vacation from London.
