Pasoori Hits 1 Billion YouTube Streams

Pasoori
Coke Studio’s chart-topping hit Pasoori has reached a monumental 1 billion streams worldwide, solidifying its place as a global phenomenon. The song, sung by Ali Sethi and Shae Gill, has captivated audiences with its powerful lyrics: “Agg lavan majboori nu, aan jaan di pasoori nu.”

Producer Xulfi, the creative force behind Coke Studio’s success, shared the celebratory news on Instagram. Posing with a commemorative frame, he expressed gratitude and pride for the global recognition of Pakistani music.

Reflecting on this achievement, Xulfi wrote, “When we began creating global hits from Pakistan through Coke Studio, we believed in our country’s potential. Our music and art community continues to grow stronger.”

He thanked the global audience, saying, “This milestone is possible because of you, the listeners. Shukriya for your love and support for art and artists.”

Xulfi also congratulated the team behind Pasoori, including Ali Sethi, Shae Gill, Abdullah Siddiqui, and visual storytellers Kamal Kay and Hashim Ali, who brought the song to life with stunning visuals.

Released during Coke Studio Season 14, this song quickly became a worldwide sensation, with its vibrant Punjabi lyrics, celebrating artistic self-expression, and resonating deeply across borders. The word pasoori, a Punjabi term meaning “conflict” or “impatience,” perfectly captures the song’s raw emotion.

A global anthem for creativity, Pasoori has proven that music transcends language, connecting hearts worldwide.
