Tabish Hashmi’s Wife Shares Sweet Secret of Their Arranged Marriage

Tabish

During their first-ever joint interview on ARY Digital’s Ramadan special transmission ‘Shan e Suhoor’, prominent host and comedian Tabish Hashmi and his wife Hira Khalid revealed details about their first meeting for an arranged marriage.

Hira humorously interrupted host Nida Yasir, saying, “But there was surely love at first sight, from Tabish’s side.”

They reminisced about their initial meeting during the final days of Ramadan when Tabish Hashmi, along with his family, visited Hira’s place, and Tabish fell in love with her at first sight.

When asked what initially attracted her to her husband, Hira said, “It was an arranged marriage. At that time, I agreed solely because of my parents’ decision, but eventually, gradually, I started liking many of his qualities.”

Hira mentioned that Tabish favored in-person meetings over lengthy phone calls while they were engaged, which encouraged her to find reasons to meet him in person. They have been married for more than 12 years and share two children, a daughter, and a son.

Munazzah Arif And Hina Bayat Discuss Different Aspects Ruining Relationships

Munazzah Arif and Hina Bayat are seasoned Pakistani television actors who are known for their remarkable performances in hit TV dramas. Hina Bayat is known for Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Mera Naam Yousaf Hai, Khaie and Khumaar while Munazzah Arif is known for Dil e Nadaan, Kashaf, Dil Wali Gali Mein and others. Both the senior actors are a regular participant of Nida Yasir’s popular morning show Good Morning Pakistan.

Recently, Munazzah Arif and Hina Bayat were the guests at GMP, hosted by Nida Yasir. In the show Munazzah and Hina discussed different aspects that are ruining relationships in younger generations.

Hina Bayat said, “Jokes aside, this is another major problem in our society—may Allah forgive us—that now girls are attracted to girls and boys are attracted to boys. These things are hidden by people; they get married, and lives are ruined. Relationships break, and there is no way to avoid it if people keep hiding the truth. So at least be thankful if your child is attracted to the opposite gender. There should also be an engagement period to observe both the boy and the girl.”

Munazzah Arif, while talking about relationships, said, “Social media is the biggest factor that is ruining the relationships between the spouses. It develops misconceptions, jealousy, and undue expectations—like “he did this” or “his fiancée gifted her that.” This creates pressure on every girl, and she starts comparing herself to others. Comparisons are so volatile for relationships and should be avoided. I would urge girls not to compare their situations, and I would also say that you should avoid meeting your fiancé physically; virtual meetings can be arranged instead. Nowadays, social media is the biggest reason behind fights.”

Legendary PTV Star Ayesha Khan Passes Away

The curtain has fallen on one of Pakistan’s most revered actresses, Ayesha Khan, the legendary performer who left an indelible mark on classic Pakistani television, has passed away in Karachi, leaving behind a legacy that spans decades and hearts that span generations.

Ayesha Khan – A Shining Star of PTV’s Golden Era

Born in 1948, Ayesha Khan was among the rare talents who not only defined her era but became the face of Pakistan Television’s golden age. She rose to fame with her unforgettable performances in landmark dramas such as Afshan, Uroosa, Aanch, Bandhan, and Shaam Se Pehle. Each role she portrayed was imbued with soul, but it was her portrayal in Afshan that remains etched in the national memory—a grieving woman navigating the trials of Partition, raising her own child and her niece while awaiting her husband’s return. It wasn’t just a role; it was a symbol of resilience, sacrifice, and grace.

A Legacy Etched in Emotion

What made Ayesha Khan truly iconic was not just her script choices but her unmatched dialogue delivery, expressive silence, and the gravity she brought to every scene. Her presence lit up the screen, and her absence leaves a void not easily filled. Ayesha was also the elder sister of another powerhouse performer, Khalida Riasat, making theirs one of the most gifted families in Pakistan’s television history.

In recent years, she had withdrawn from the screen due to prolonged illness, quietly fading from the limelight but never from the hearts of those who grew up watching her.

Arts Council President Ahmed Shah aptly summed up the loss: “She acted for more than 50 years, and her passing is a profound loss to the drama industry of Pakistan.”
