Despite causing turmoil in Mustafa and Sharjeena’s lives, fans questioned why she wasn’t punished like Adeel.

Farhat Ishtiaq, the writer of “Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum”, sat down with Maliha Rehman to address fan questions and clarify key points. She discussed Rubab’s ending, emphasizing that it wasn’t a happy one. Ishtiaq explained that Rubab’s planned confrontation ultimately humiliated not only her husband but also herself, illustrating the harsh realities of the world.

She also added that “for Rubab finding true love was the most important thing. She was abandoned by her parents and she never got true love. She had real feelings for Adeel but in the end, she was left without what she was striving for her whole life. She could have forgiven Adeel for money fraud but he cheated on Rubab which was her ultimate nightmare.”
