Adnan Malik Posts Emotional Video, Urges Change
Actor Adnan Malik shared a deeply personal video on Instagram, showing himself in tears as he addressed the often-overlooked topic of the inner child.
Posting on his secondary account, In Presence with Adnan Malik, he revealed, “My inner 11-year-old self needed to cry today. He felt cornered, gaslit, unseen, and trapped in a familiar drama triangle he never consented to.”
Reflecting on societal expectations around emotions, Malik highlighted the dismissal of sensitivity, saying, “At the end, he was told, ‘You’re too sensitive.’”
He detailed how he found peace by embracing his inner child, setting boundaries, and creating a safe space for grief. “All of me broke down in empathy and harmony. Your sensitivity is your superpower; your sensitivity is a gift to the world,” he wrote, emphasizing the healing power of vulnerability.
Drawing on his experience at the Resistance and Acceptance Men’s Work Retreat, Malik encouraged emotional expression. “I want to dispel the myth that men can’t cry or that it’s not ‘masculine’ to cry,” he explained. “Crying is my portal to healing… like a powerful storm that makes the emotional landscape fertile again.”
He called on others to embrace their emotions unapologetically, saying, “Cry with me, my brothers, sisters, and fellow beings. Let’s remove the shame around tears, grieve together, and heal ourselves and the planet.”
Malik’s post has garnered praise from netizens and celebrities for advocating emotional expression and vulnerability.
