Humaira Bano Calls Firdous Jamal ‘Munafiq’

Firdous Jamal, a veteran Pakistani actor, faces intense backlash following his controversial remarks about women in the entertainment industry, including his peers and the public.

Actress Humaira Bano directly criticized Jamal during a 24 Plus podcast hosted by Uzma Tahir. Expressing her “anger and sadness” over his comments, Bano declared, “Firdous Sahab, ap munafiq hai [you are a hypocrite]. You are also a person with low character, just like you think the women in the industry are.”

She further condemned him, pointing out the contradiction in his statements. “Your sons are part of this industry, and you’ve earned your livelihood through it, yet you insult it. You claim to leave your house after seeing your daughter-in-law on TV to avoid being ‘characterless,’ but you belong to the same industry with the same low morals.”

Bano urged the entertainment community to confront Jamal for his mindset, adding to the growing criticism against the actor. Jamal’s past comments, including those about Mahira Khan and the “ideal age” for a heroine, have further fueled the outrage.
