Bollywood is notorious for stealing storylines, screenplays, and music without ever crediting the creators. The entire industry is tainted by excessive plagiarism, and many innovative pieces are discovered to be stolen years later. Bollywood has a penchant for stealing Pakistani music. Though Pakistani artists are “outlawed,” their brilliance is not. Recently, there has been a fresh wave of music theft, beginning with Bol Kaffara, and Boohey Bariyan and the newest victim is the legendary Nach Punjaban by Abrar ul Haq, which was taken by Karan Johar for his film Jug Jug Jeeyo.
