Nauman Ijaz, a renowned Pakistani TV actor known for his remarkable performances in various hit dramas, recently shared his thoughts on the state of Pakistani television dramas. In a clip from the show "Meer Means Business," Nauman expressed concern about the content of current dramas, stating that they are tarnishing the sanctity of relationships. He went as far as to say he would advocate for banning such dramas if given the opportunity to oversee the censor board.
According to Nauman, the portrayal of relationships in Pakistani dramas is distressing. He lamented the normalization of regressive and morally questionable content, noting that audiences seem indifferent to the negative impact it may have on society. Nauman criticized the portrayal of every relationship as inherently evil, citing the popular drama "Nand" as an example where the sister-in-law character was depicted negatively. He emphasized his preference for dramas with moral lessons and disclosed his personal approach of self-censorship when it comes to dialogues.
