The sudden and tragic demise of Pakistani actor and model Humaira Asghar Ali has sent shockwaves across the entertainment industry, with fellow stars expressing heartbreak and raising urgent concerns over the emotional toll of fame, pressure, and silence.
The 32-year-old’s decomposed body was discovered in her DHA Phase VI apartment in Karachi, weeks after her passing—an eerie revelation that left both her fans and colleagues stunned. But beyond the tragedy, it has opened a deeply personal conversation among celebrities about the mental health struggles hidden behind glamorous facades.
Actress Mawra Hocane, visibly shaken, took to Instagram with a heartfelt message urging artists—and anyone suffering in silence—to reach out without fear of judgment.
“If you’re caught in spiraling thoughts… please reach out. I will not judge. I will understand. Let’s be a community again,” she wrote. “Nothing is more precious than the beautiful gift of life Allah has given us… you’re not alone.”
Actor and writer Amar Khan echoed the same emotional depth in her tribute, describing the tragedy as “more than shocking — it’s depressing.”
“Humaira’s story is sadly not just hers. It’s the reality of many artists navigating brutal pressures beneath arc lights. Behind every smiling selfie, there’s a human being fighting battles no one sees,” she reflected. “Don’t chase hollow goals at the cost of your peace. Prioritize your mental health above all.”

Actress Humaira Asghar Ali Found Dead in DHA Apartment; Body Decomposed Beyond Recognition

The lifeless body of actor and model Humaira Asghar Ali was discovered in an advanced state of decomposition inside a rented apartment in Karachi’s upscale Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase-VI. The discovery, made by Gizri police on court orders to vacate the property, has left many stunned and raised urgent questions about how such a tragic death could go unnoticed for weeks.
According to South DIG Syed Asad Raza, the body was recovered from an apartment located in Ittehad Commercial. The 32-year-old actress, who had once appeared in the ARY reality show Tamasha Ghar and the 2015 film Jalaibee, had reportedly passed away nearly two weeks before her remains were found.
The police were executing a court order to vacate the flat after the landlord filed a complaint due to non-payment of rent throughout 2024. When officers arrived at around 3:15 PM, there was no response from inside. Upon breaking the lock, they were met with a haunting scene, Humaira’s decomposing body lying inside the locked apartment.
Crime Scene Unit officers were summoned to gather forensic evidence, and the body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Police surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed confirmed that the body was in a severely decomposed state, adding that the “cause of death is reserved” pending a full autopsy and coroner’s report.
Initial findings suggest no signs of forced entry or foul play. The apartment’s iron gate, wooden door, and balcony door were all locked from the inside, indicating Humaira had been alone at the time of her death. Still, investigators are treading cautiously, leaving no stone unturned as they attempt to contact any of her surviving relatives using data from her mobile phone.

Who Could Replace Bulbulay’s Khoobsurat? Ayesha Omar Has Her Pick

When a character becomes the soul of a show, replacing them feels nearly impossible. For over 16 years, the beloved Bulbulay’s Khoobsurat, played by the ever-charming Ayesha Omar, has ruled the hearts of Pakistani sitcom lovers. From her witty one-liners to her vibrant expressions and undeniable beauty, Khoobsurat became a household name, and Ayesha Omar made sure the character left an unforgettable imprint on Pakistan’s pop culture.
But what if the time comes to pass the torch? Who could possibly step into the shoes of Khoobsurat? Ayesha Omar herself may have just answered that million-rupee question—and fans are buzzing.
Before diving into the possible replacement, let’s appreciate how Ayesha Omar built her versatile career leading up to Bulbulay. She started in the late ’90s with College Jeans, smoothly transitioned into comedy with Jutt & Bond, and captivated fans in dramas like Dolly Ki Aayegi Baraat and Roza Ke Roze.
Her talent didn’t stop at acting—she’s also a singer, with hits like Lage Re Nain from Coke Studio and the ultra-famous Tooti Frooti from Karachi Se Lahore. She even hosted cooking shows, blending charm with culinary finesse.
But it’s Khoobsurat—with her designer outfits, sharp wit, and hilarious chemistry with Nabeel and Mehmood Sahib—that sealed Ayesha’s place as sitcom royalty.
In a recent entertainment talk show, Ayesha was asked a fun yet intriguing question: If she had to hand over the role of Khoobsurat to someone else—Sajal Aly, Yumna Zaidi, or Soniya Hussain—who would she choose?
Without hesitation, Ayesha lit up and answered: Sajal Aly.
And honestly? It makes perfect sense.
Sajal brings a unique blend of innocence, sass, and effortless acting chops that could breathe fresh energy into the role. She has already proven her mettle across genres—drama, tragedy, romance, and even subtle comedy. Her ability to command screen presence while delivering nuanced expressions could be exactly what Khoobsurat 2.0 needs.
Sajal Aly fans were quick to take to social media, rallying behind Ayesha Omar’s suggestion. Memes, edits, and tweets began surfacing, all cheering for Sajal’s casting in Bulbulay—whether as a new character or a reimagined Khoobsurat. The idea may have started as hypothetical fun, but now it has sparked real curiosity.
Can Sajal Aly slip into the colorful world of Bulbulay? Could she carry forward the legacy Ayesha Omar built with such grace and charisma?
Only time—and perhaps the producers—will tell.
