Wajahat Rauf Calls for Indian Films to Return to Pakistani Cinemas

Renowned entertainment industry director and producer Wajahat Rauf expressed his desire to see Indian films back on Pakistani screens. Reflecting on his experience watching “Stree 2” in London, he mentioned that the cinema was packed.

He noted how the audience enjoyed the dialogue, and he praised the performances of Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, and the rest of the cast. Rauf concluded by saying, “I miss watching Indian films in Pakistani cinemas.”

Who is Wajahat Rauf?

Wajahat Rauf is a multifaceted Pakistani director, actor, screenwriter, producer, and musician. He has directed and produced several commercially successful films such as Karachi Se Lahore (2015), Lahore Se Aagey (2016), Chhalawa (2019), Parde Mein Rehne Do (2022), and Daghabaaz Dil (2024). In addition, Rauf has produced popular TV dramas, including Raqs-e-Bismil (2021). He is also the creator and host of the widely acclaimed YouTube show Voice Over Man.
