Sara Raza Khan Claims Aima Baig Relies on Autotune
Renowned singer Sara Raza Khan recently expressed her views on the singing abilities of Aima Baig and Mehwish Hayat, suggesting that they depend heavily on autotune. During her appearance on a private TV channel, she shared her candid thoughts about vocal talent in the industry.
When asked if she ever pretended to appreciate someone’s subpar singing, she responded honestly, saying, “I don’t mince my words.” She emphasized that she advises those lacking vocal skills to explore other entertainment options, “even if it might offend someone.” She remarked, “If we remove autotune, Aima Baig is not a singer,” underlining her belief that many in the industry fit this description.
Sara also mentioned, “If I had the opportunity to create a film, I would definitely hire Mehwish Hayat for an item song, but I would never ask her to sing.”
During the show, Sara reflected on her time in India, where she competed in singing competitions such as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Sur Kshetra. As the only Pakistani female contestant, she felt the pressure of competing against highly-trained Indian singers. However, she consistently impressed the judges with her performances, demonstrating her talent and determination.
Sara’s strong opinions and personal experiences emphasize the challenges and realities of the music industry, reminding us of the significance of genuine vocal talent.
