Pakistani singer Hasan Raheem has taken another step towards international recognition by submitting his single ‘Bewajah’ for consideration at the Grammy Awards in two categories: Best Music Video and Best Global Music Performance.
Raheem shared the announcement on Instagram through a post titled “BEWAJAH | FOR YOUR GRAMMY® CONSIDERATION,” highlighting both categories in which the song is being considered. The submission marks another milestone in the singer’s growing musical journey, which has seen him develop a distinctive sound that blends contemporary pop and R&B with elements of his cultural roots.

Released in March 2026, ‘Bewajah’ was produced by Umair, with Raheem writing the lyrics primarily in Urdu. The track also features a bridge in Shina, a language spoken in his home region of Gilgit-Baltistan, bringing a personal and regional touch to the song.
The music video further strengthens this connection to his roots. Directed by Arham Ikram, who has collaborated with Raheem on previous projects, the video was filmed in Gilgit against the backdrop of a local polo match, a sport deeply associated with the region. The visuals capture the energy of the game, with players, horses and spectators dressed predominantly in dark clothing while Raheem stands out in white.
