Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has become the target of social media jokes after posting a one-word response to a viral image puzzle featuring Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe wearing a modern smartwatch in a scene supposedly set in 1956.
Asif responded to the image on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday, October 13, with a brief message: “Watch😊”. While the reply was short, it quickly attracted attention, with users poking fun at the minister for engaging with a post that appeared designed to generate clicks and interactions.

The viral image shows Monroe standing in front of vintage cars, with viewers challenged to spot something that would not have existed in 1956. The answer is visible on her wrist: a contemporary smartwatch that stands out against the otherwise old-fashioned setting. The deliberate historical mismatch turns the image into a simple spot-the-difference puzzle, a format frequently used to attract engagement on social media.
However, the conversation soon shifted from the puzzle itself to Asif’s decision to respond to it. Users began questioning why a senior government official had interacted with a post that appeared to rely on an AI-generated image and a deliberately obvious visual clue.
