The announcement came in the form of a joint Instagram post by the film’s team, teasing fans with the caption: “Agli mulaqat ka intezar rahay ga… Neelofar — This winter.” The short teaser featured a silhouette of a man and woman pressing their foreheads together against a red backdrop, sparking excitement across social media.
Originally scheduled for December 2022, the film’s release was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving fans wondering when they’d finally get to witness the reunion of Pakistan’s most beloved on-screen pair. The anticipation only grew stronger after Mahira penned an emotional farewell to the project back in 2020, writing: “I take with me a piece of you, leaving a bit of my soul with you… My darling Neelofar, I shall miss you so much. Can’t wait for you all to see the love we poured into this.”
