People Were Paid to Troll Me,” Reveals Nadia Khan
Nadia Khan, television host and actress, revealed that she was the target of organized trolling, with individuals being paid to criticize her.
During her appearance on Hasna Mana Hai, she discussed the directed negativity aimed particularly at her Ramazan and other TV shows. Host Tabish Hashmi asked, “I noticed during your recent Ramadan show that some things seemed forced, with numerous questions raised and controversies surrounding how you questioned guests. Was this intentional?”
Nadia responded, “A few years ago, none of this would have been an issue, but now there’s a new model of policing on social media. Different channels and people work against each other. When a new show begins, social media claims that people are being paid to troll you.”
She explained the pressures she felt from industry competitors, stating, “I was advised to counter it by spending money on such tactics, but I refused. I didn’t have extra money for such nonsense. I decided to let it be, but this is a reality. A new trend was developing, and if it became a hit, it would have unsettled other channels. Money was indeed spent to create viral content and troll that show.”
