Spotify has selected singer Shae Gill as the featured artist for its 2026 RADAR Pakistan program. Known for her distinctive voice and fusion of contemporary and traditional sounds, Gill has cultivated a dedicated and growing audience both at home and abroad.
To mark the announcement, Spotify is spotlighting her recent Punjabi single, “Insecurity,” which explores the emotional complexities hinted at in its title. The track has amassed over 256,000 streams since its release and continues to attract listeners.
As part of the initiative, Spotify will also release a mini-documentary chronicling Gill’s artistic journey, produced under its global artist development program, which focuses on the personal and professional growth of emerging talent.
Internationally, Gill’s music has seen notable growth over the past month, with significant listenership in the United States, United Kingdom, Bangladesh, and Canada. Her 2025 releases, such as “Gila” and “Staring At Me,” have further solidified her rising profile in the contemporary music scene.
On being named a RADAR artist, Shae Gill shared, “It’s great being chosen… I have so much appreciation for what they do. This year has been full of learning, and I hope that continues, as I’m always striving to improve. I’m focusing on creating solo tracks and am excited to find my voice and sound as an artist, and to connect with the people who relate to it.”
Rutaba Yaqub, Spotify’s Artist & Label Partnerships Manager for Pakistan and the UAE, added, “By introducing the world to her solo, original tracks, Shae’s journey is taking an exciting new turn. With songs like ‘Insecurity,’ listeners get to experience her vocals and melodies truly shining through. RADAR is designed to give artists the boost they need at key moments of creative momentum, and that’s exactly what we aim to do with Shae Gill.”
RADAR Pakistan is a localized branch of Spotify’s worldwide RADAR program, which supports emerging artists by amplifying their reach and providing development tools. Operating across 183 countries, the program has supported over 1,000 artists to date, helping connect local talent with global audiences.
