Reham Khan Advises Hania Amir to Delay Marriage Amid Backlash

Reham Khan

Reham Khan, British-Pakistani journalist and film producer, stood firm despite backlash over her advice to Hania Amir to delay marriage and prioritize her career.

Speaking on a recent podcast, Reham elaborated on her perspective, highlighting the importance of financial independence and personal growth before entering a marriage, which she described as a commitment requiring both emotional and economic stability.

Having produced Hania’s debut film Janaan in 2016, Reham shared her belief that individuals should marry only when they feel ready and in need of companionship. “I believe a person should marry when they feel, ‘I have arrived and now need a companion,’” she said.

Addressing societal and biological pressures on women in their 20s and 30s, Reham emphasized that marriage often does not bring the freedom many expect. “Many girls think they’ll gain freedom after marriage, but that’s not always the case,” she cautioned, urging women to reject societal pressure and view marriage as a choice, not an obligation.

She revealed that she shares the same advice with her own daughters, stressing the importance of achieving financial and emotional stability before considering marriage. “I’m not against marriage as an institution,” Reham clarified, “but it’s not for everyone. Build your career first, and then think about companionship if you wish.”

Reham also expressed hopes for Hania Amir’s future in Bollywood, urging her to focus on her flourishing career rather than rushing into societal expectations.

Iffat Omar Reveals Why She Has No Friends In Industry

Iffat Omar, a renowned actress, model, and television host, has always been known for her bold personality and straightforward nature. She is one of those few celebrities who never hesitate to express their opinions, no matter how controversial they may be. Over the years, she has earned respect for her honesty and strong stance on social issues. These days, however, Iffat is staying away from television dramas, explaining that she is not satisfied with the kind of scripts being written or the limited, repetitive roles being offered to her. She believes that the quality of storytelling has declined and that most projects lack depth and meaningful characters.

Recently, Iffat appeared on the popular talk show Mazaq Raat, where she opened up about her views on love, life, and her long career in the entertainment industry. With nearly three decades of experience, she has made a remarkable journey—from being one of Pakistan’s top models in the 1990s to becoming a respected actress and host. Despite her success, Iffat shared a rather personal truth:

she doesn’t really have any close friends in showbiz. While she admires and respects several people in the industry and considers some of them her mentors, she admitted that true friendships are rare in this line of work. According to her, a real friend is someone who stands by you in both good and bad times, but such loyalty is difficult to find in the competitive world of entertainment. She added that many people in showbiz are focused on their own image and career, making it hard for them to genuinely support or take a stand for someone else.

Actor Sami Khan recalls Near-Fatal on-set Accidents

Sami

Pakistani actor Sami Khan recently reflected on two frightening on-set incidents where he narrowly avoided serious injury.

He recalled an early career moment while filming a song for a movie directed by Moammar Rana that was never completed. The scene required him to appear oiled and pose close to an open flame. As he moved nearer, the heat became unbearable, forcing him to step back to avoid burns. To complete the shot, a makeup artist sprayed his hand to protect it, but he could only endure the heat for a few seconds.

In another instance, while shooting a breakup scene with Jana Malik, Sami placed his hand over a candle flame for dramatic effect. Within seconds, his hand was burned. He later admitted it was a painful mistake and a lesson in safety.

Sami urged young actors to remain calm on set and never take unnecessary risks, emphasizing that professionalism and proper safety measures are far more important than dramatic impact.
