In a fun Instagram Ask Me a Question session, director Haseeb Hassan responded to a fan’s request to cast Maya Ali with Ahmed Ali Akbar in a romantic drama. The Jannat Say Agay director tagged both actors in his reply, sparking excitement among fans.

Maya Ali captioned the story “Khoobsurat Khayal” (beautiful thought), further fueling fan hopes for the pairing.

Maya Ali has starred in popular dramas such as Meri Zindagi Hai Tu, Zid, Khoya Khoya Chand, and Mann Mayal, while Ahmed Ali Akbar is known for his roles in Nazo, Parizaad, and Faraar.

Fans are now eagerly awaiting the possibility of this dream duo appearing on screen.

Ali began his television career at thirteen with PTV’s Stop Watch and later sang for the Islamabad-based progressive rock band Nafs for ten years. On the advice of a friend, he returned to acting in a play written by Osman Khalid Butt.

He made his stage debut in 2008, earning critical acclaim. Ali’s film debut came in 2013 with Siyaah, followed by his lead role in the 2014 drama Shehr-e-Ajnabi.

In 2018, he starred in Parchi, a hit at the box office, and directed the stunts. The following year, he appeared in the crime thriller Laal Kabootar, which garnered positive reviews. He also starred in the popular drama Ehd-e-Wafa.
